DATES TO REMEMBER

Aug 4th    Last day for summer programs

Aug 14th   Kindergarten Parent/Child orientation 9:00am @ Merriewood

Aug 15th   First Day at Burton Valley School and Merriewood begins for School Age Care

Aug 18th   Nursery School visitation and orientation 9:00am

Aug 21th   Nursery School Programs Begin

Sept 4th    Labor Day. Merriewood Closed

Sept 18th – 22nd    BVE ½ days for parent/teacher conferences

BILLING

Tuition for scheduled hours is due in advance each month.  Extra unscheduled hours will be added to the next billing cycle.  A statement will be emailed to you in the beginning of each month, with the “Amount Due” payable by the 10th.  Please check the email address(es) with the office and inform us of any corrections to ensure receipt of future statements.  Check payments may be mailed to our P.O. Box or dropped off in the office.  A $25 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received by the due date.

A billing cycle is comprised of a one-month avg. period (4 weeks) for all school calendar months, with holiday weeks reflected accordingly.

For special circumstances, please contact the office in advance of the due date to make arrangements.

A $15.00 handling fee will be charged for checks not clearing the bank when deposited.

TUITION:

It may be brought in or mailed.  IT IS DUE NO LATER THAN AUGUST 10th. This tuition is based on your child’s schedule. Your bill reflects your August tuition.  If you need to change your schedule, you may do so by coming into the office and filling out the correct form. Please double check that we have your correct schedule.

 

 

BEFORE YOUR CHILD BEGINS

FORMS REQUIRED BEFORE YOUR CHILD BEGINS (update all info on your child’s information sheet)

  1. Emergency card– An emergency card filled out in pen on both sides and hand-carried to us. We need an updated one each fall. If you turned in a new one for summer, you do not need another one. Please do not fold it.
  2. Health Form We must have a health form signed by a doctor if your child is:
    • new to us
    • going into kindergarten
  3. Admission Agreement– If we don’t have it, you will find it in the office
  4. Family Report – We would like as much information about your child and family as possible in order to plan our program.  If you are returning and there is nothing new, there is only the admission agreement to return.
  5. Parent & Personal Rights forms signed and returned
  6. Peanut Allergy form signed
  7. Bus form (k)

 

INCOMING KINDERGARTENERS & PARENTS!!!

August 14th 9:00am KINDERGARTEN PARENT/CHILD ORIENTATION AT MERRIEWOOD (before Lemonade Day at Burton Valley Kindergarten).

THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL KINDERGAREN PARENTS AND CHILDREN (even if they were in Nursery School at Merriewood)

NEW PARENT ORIENTATION FOR INCOMING FIRST THROUGH FIFTH GRADERS.

New 1st through 5th grade parents.  Please contact Kevin or Mim to meet before school starts if needed.

 NURSERY SCHOOL CHILDREN & PARENTS!!!

AUGUST 18th NURSERY SCHOOL PARENT/CHILD ORIENTATION

IT IS MANDATORY FOR BEGINNING THE YEAR.  ALL PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAMS WILL MEET FROM 9:00-9:45AM

 NURSERY SCHOOL PARENT PARTICIPATION FOR TUITION CREDIT

Working in your child’s class is a rewarding experience for you and your child.  We like to have one parent per day in each class. You will receive $12.50 credit for 2 1/2 hours of participation.  Come to the meeting on Friday, Aug. 12th to find out more and to let us know what days will work for you.  (Children are welcome to this meeting).  Please bring a negative TB test result from your doctor, if you are new this year.
